Today, many people are suffering from lack of sleep which is getting worsen day by day. People are working more to earn more money which in result making them tired and they are lacking sleep. This is being the reason that they don’t get enough time to sleep well. Merely, our body need full time to sleep which is as essential as food for us. The schedule of our work leads to change in our sleeping needs. Some people thinks that sleep would be time waster for them as they liked to spend that time in doing some work. For a first time, sleep appears to some extent a waste of time however sleep is one crucial aspect of having a healthy body. The level of HGH in the body can be disturbed with the lack of sleep. So, sleep has an influence over the production of the HGH in the body. This is being the reason that some people look older than their age because they are working more and lacking sleep.

Cortisol and Sleep

Sleep plays an important role for having a healthy body. One should have enough sleep which is essential for the body. Sleep has an influence over the level of HGH in the body. Lack of sleep can be the reason of increasing the heart attacks in such a way that a person who is doing more and more work and lacking sleep would raise his or her heart related problems. So, it is recommended to have adequate sleep to prevent you from these problems. As such, a person who slept for at least 6 hours a night won’t be getting heart attacks and that person who even didn’t sleep for at least 6 hours will be getting higher chances of heart attacks. There a number of people who are having too little sleep in their daily life. Sleep does have an impact over the longevity due to hormone said to be cartisol.
Now, Cortisol is known as STRESS HARMONE for the reason that cartisol is secreted through adrenal gland in the body which is in response to stress.

With the rise in the level of stress, the level of cortisol increases. In the bloodstreams, the working of cortisol is done with the increase in the amount of blood sugar. The enhanced level of blood sugar will inhibits the level of HGH in the bloodstreams due to the reason of increases insulin needs.

It has been proved by researchers that after the intake of food, the level of blood sugar in the bloodstream decline to normal level for a long period of time. The reason is that in the body, somewhere cortisol inhibits insulin. It could be said that Cortisol is the enemy of insulin as well as of HGH. The high level of cortisol might conduct to enhance the resistance to insulin and will also explore a pathway to type 2 diabetes.

Besides its all negative sides, cortisol is also called by DEATH HARMONE. Cortisol is decreasing the immune system in the body as such it is not being beneficial for the body and just preparing for fight or flight.

In this way, the lacking of sleep provoked the cortisol which would raise the health problems in the body. When the body is sleeping, at that time the body produces most of HGH and if you are not getting adequate sleep then that means you are lacking HGH in your body as well. So, you should have enough sleep to fulfill the needs of the body. As such, the level of HGH would be lowered and cortisol would be increased and this will result in reduced longevity for a long run.
